Ever since I could breathe, I’ve been an artist. The first thing I did after learning to walk was to draw. The first thing I ate on my own was an orange crayon.
Art is in my blood.
I create sculptural installations that deal with the ideas of holding on, letting go, and multiplicity. Through the use of tactile, found materials, and an affinity for the hand-made, I continue to produce a body of work maintains my personal aesthetic.
Through my art making, I feel called upon to be a light in the darkness, and I have an innate desire to bring buoyancy and whimsy into the world. Art is power. With it, we can heal, we can grow, we can pray, or continue to hurt: the decision is ours.
